• Seatbelt Laws:, NE requires all drivers to wear seat belts while operating a vehicle.
• Cellphone usage: It’s illegal to use a handheld wireless device in any way whilst operating a vehicle.
• Yield to pedestrians: Drivers are required to yield to pedestrians at crosswalks.
• Speed limit: The speed limit on most highways is 75 miles per hour, but it is lowered to 65 in construction zones. Drivers must also be careful to avoid speeding in school zones and residential areas.
• Drivers under 18 years: Newly licensed drivers under the age of 18 are not allowed to drive between midnight and 6 a.m. In addition, they are prohibited from carrying passengers under the age of 19 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Drivers under 21 years: The state also imposes a curfew for all drivers under the age of 21, prohibiting them from driving between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. These laws are designed to help keep inexperienced drivers safe on the roadways.

• Interstate 80: Interstate 80 (I-80) is a cross-country interstate highway that runs from San Francisco, California to Teaneck, New Jersey. In NE, I-80 runs east to west across the state. The highway passes through the cities of Omaha, Lincoln, and Grand Island.
• Interstate 29: Interstate 29 (I-29) is a north-south Interstate Highway that runs through the state. It begins at the border with Iowa and continues through Omaha, Nebraska's largest city. I-29 then continues north to South Dakota, where it ends at the border with North Dakota. I-29 is one of the primary routes for truck traffic between NE and its neighboring states.
• US Highway 20: Nebraska's US Highway 20 is one of the state's most important scenic byways. Stretching over 400 miles from the Nebraska-Wyoming border to the Missouri River, the highway offers stunning views of the NE landscape.
• US Highway 75: Nebraska's US Highway 75 is one of the state's most important roadways. Stretching over 400 miles from Omaha to Nebraska's panhandle, the highway connects many of the state's largest cities and provides an essential link to neighboring states.

• The world's largest truck stop is located in NE! The center in North Platte covers three acres and offers 24-hour fueling, restaurants, a casino, a movie theater, and even a dental clinic.

• NE is home to the Museum of American Speed, which features a collection of over 50 classic Shelby cars.

• The Interstate Highway System is one of the most impressive engineering feats in American history. NE was the first state to complete its segment of the mainline interstate system, a 455-mile stretch of a four-lane highway.
